Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, Kenra Lightener Color contains no ammonia, making it a gentler option for those with sensitive scalps. The ammonia-free formula reduces scalp irritation and harsh chemical odors while still delivering professional-level lightening results. However, we recommend performing a patch test 24-48 hours before application to ensure compatibility with your individual scalp sensitivity.
Kenra Lightener Color features a proprietary blend that includes conditioning agents and protective polymers designed to minimize damage during the lightening process. The ammonia-free formula uses alternative alkalizing agents that work effectively without the harshness of traditional ammonia-based lighteners. For a complete ingredient list, check the product packaging or consult with your stylist.
Kenra Lightener Color can be used on previously colored hair, but the results depend on your hair's current condition and color history. If your hair is already damaged or over-processed, we recommend consulting with a professional stylist before application. They can assess your hair's health and determine if additional conditioning treatments are needed before lightening.
