Best of the Best!
I've used B&B Thickening Hairspray for more than 15 years. My hair is short 3 1/2"to 4" fine and poker straight. I just lift sections of hair and spritz at the roots. There's no stickiness when applied to wet or dry hair, nor after blow-dry. The 8oz bottle goes a long way for me, 2 mos using it 5x/week. Bumble & Bumble has a fine line of products.
Um, no.
This spray definitely adds thickness but if you spray too much you can get breakage, which is what happened to me. I used it both on wet hair and blow dried (and got breakage as my hair dried) and on dry hair. The secret is to use less than you think you need and then to build it up gradually, letting it dry in between. I spray it first just on my bangs when wet and then used the dryer and a round brush. I definitely used too much the first time and got some breakage. The second time, I sprayed too much on dry hair and when I tried to brush through them, I got breakage again. This was disturbing but there were so many positive reviews on sites around the net that I was determined to try again. This time I used a lot less and got no breakage. I then sprayed a little more, building up gradually and, thankfully, nothing happened. I did get a nice amount of thickness, however, my hair was somewhat sticky so I think less is definitely more. This spray has some hold so no other hairspray is necessary. I'm not too impressed with this actually. I used it years ago and I remember liking it a lot but I've discovered that it's been reformulated and alcohol has been added. And it certainly drying. I used it a couple of days in a row and I noticed that my hair looked and felt somewhat like straw. I like several Bumble and Bumble products but I'm not such a fan of this one. I liked the old product much better. It used to be called "thickening spray" not "hairspray". If I had known it was a different product, I wouldn't have purchased it. Because of the breakage and the dryness, I can't really recommend this. It's too hard to get right and that's too much work for me. I guess it's doomed to my bathroom shelf, where failed hair products go to die.
Alcohol in in ingredients
I used this spray it really helpes to make hair thicker, but it has alcohol in ingredients amd it may cause dryness, also my hair is sticky after it
